Butter compartment is approx 2.5” deep and 2” in diameter, holds approximately one stick of butter. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHow to use a butter keeper! \u003cbr\u003e1. Pack the container part of the lid tightly with fresh, fairly firm butter. \u003cbr\u003e2. Fill the bottom of the jar with a bit of water, enough so that it creates a seal on the edge of the bell when it is upside down in the jar. \u003cbr\u003e3. Works best with salted butter, but if your butter is unsalted you may try salting the water to compensate. \u003cbr\u003e4. Change the water every few days and keep on counter top for spreadable butter whenever you like! \u003cbr\u003eTIP: Sometimes if it is too warm in the house the butter can slide out of the lid. If this is happening keep and eye on when your butter is getting too soft and place the keeper in the fridge to firm back up. \u003cbr\u003eAlso not recommended to set your butter keeper near the oven.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHand wash recommended to preserve the life of your handmade pottery. 🖤\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e*Please note that due to the complete handmade quality, small “imperfections” are inevitable.
